About HSAR

The Mission of the Hunterdon/Somerset Association of REALTORS® is to provide professional development and ethical standards in the best interests of the REALTOR® Community.


Consumer Calls: Consumer calls and complaints have become an important service of the Association. The Grievance Committee reviews each of the complaints and if determined by the Committee, a hearing is held before the Professional Standards Committee. Mediation Service is an adjunct to the Committee and should be considered.


Information Service: The Association staff answers several hundred calls a month from members of the Association and the public seeking specialized information. If the staff is unable to respond to specific questions, they will attempt to get the answer or refer the caller to the proper source.
Code of Ethics: The National Association of REALTORS® looks to its local Associations to enforce the Code of Ethics. The Code was adopted in 1913 and REALTORS® are pledged to observe and abide by the Code of Ethics.
