USDA Rural Development Affordable Housing Programs (3 Elective Credits) (10:00 AM-01:00 PM
DESCRIPTION:

USDA Rural Development (RD) Housing programs are among the best affordable housing programs in the country. The 502 Direct Program and 502 Guaranteed Program have provided decent, safe and sanitary housing in rural America to more than 400,000 families and individuals. In helping USDA achieve this mission and objective, parnterships with real estate professionals and lenders are important. Explanding and enhancing our partnerships with real estate licensees especially helps RD reach those borrowers in rural areas who are in extreme poverty and don't have access to modern-day technologies. This course will provide an in-depth overview of our programs and focus on lending practices that meld well in RD programs.

New Jersey Brokers Course (SATISFIES ALL CE CREDIT REQUIREMENTS) (101 day event 04:00 PM-09:00 PM
DESCRIPTION:
Satisfies ALL needed CE credit requirements

The Brokers Course is a total of 150 hours broken out into 3 sections:
1) 90 hours - General Real Estate
2) 30 hours - Ethics/Agency
3) 30 hours - Office Management

The total cost is $900.00 for members and $1,000.00 for non-members. A deposit of $450.00 is due at registration and the balance will be due prior to starting the class. Class will take place every Monday & Wednesday, beginning September 10th, 2018 thru December 19th, 2018, frmo 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
(Book fee may be required for class materials)

The Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at teh Royce Brooks Golf Club in Hillsborough.

At this event, we will be ameding by-laws, introducing the elected officials of the newly formed Core Association of REALTORS®, Inc. and any other additional association business.

DESCRIPTION:

This course is an overview of the many function of the MLS, including:
  • Functions not covered in the Intro to GSMLS course
  • Functions that may have been forgotten since takign the Intro course
  • Functions that may have been added over time that many agents are not aware of
  • Introduction to the new User Inerface that can be used across all 3 platforms - computer, tablet, and phone - and will soon become the only User Interfact for GSMLS.com
This will also be an opportunity to have any questions on your specific use of MLS answered and discussed.

DESCRIPTION:

The REALTOR® Safety program is a course to show how real estate professionals can limit risk to preserce their safety, their clients' safety and for positive business outcomes. Students will learn how to assess risk in their current practice and create safety systems, scripts, and tools for listing appointments, showing property, conducting open houses and fraud against them. Students will also learn how to protect personal information online and on social networks. As a practical resource, this course offers easy to remember strategies for real estate professionals when facing potentially dangerous situations.

Real Estate Tax Seminar (10:30 AM-11:30 AM

Jennifer R. Jacobus, Esq. is the Managing Member of Jacobus & Associates, LLC. Ms. Jacobus graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in 1996 and cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1999.

Over the past several years, Jennifer has represented both taxpayers and municipalities all over the State of New Jersey (including Atlantic County, Bergen County, Burlington County, Camden County, Essex County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Morris County, Ocean County, Passaic County, Salem County, Somerset County, Sussex County, Union County, and Warren County) in connection with property tax appeals before the Tax Court of New Jersey as well as the New Jersey Boards of Taxation.

Before starting her own practice exclusively handling residential and commercial taxpayer appeals, Jennifer spend several years representing both taxpayers and municipalities in connection with property tax appeals. Jennifer often works in coordination with realtors, accountants, and associations to offer educational seminars about the property tax appeal process.
